WTVA in Tupelo announced Tuesday, that it has agreed to affiliate with ABC Television Network and broadcast programming for the Golden Triangle, taking the reigns from WKDH, which is set to discontinue broadcasts Aug. 31 at midnight.
Phil Sullivan, station manager for WTVA, said in a release that the high-definition programming will go into effect on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 12:35 a.m.
“”We are delighted to reach a long-term affiliation agreement with ABC and be able to provide a solid line-up of programming such as Modern Family, Dancing with the Stars, Once Upon A Time, Revenge and Jimmy Kimmel Live; critically-acclaimed news and information series including Good Morning America and World News with Diane Sawyer; and high profile sports programming like Saturday Night Football,” said Sullivan in the release.
Confirming what The Dispatch reported Saturday, the network will be broadcast on a substation, 9.2, on digital cable receivers.
