Columbus police are searching for suspects involved in a home burglary Friday off Highway 69.
The Columbus Police Department responded to 367 Ponderosa Drive at 1:37 p.m, where the homeowners reported a bevy of electronics and jewelry stolen from their residence.
Chief Selvain McQueen said the owner left home at 6 a.m., and when she returned, her back door had been kicked open.
McQueen said the following items were reported missing: a 50-inch LCD TV valued at $1,300; a jar of coins; two Fossil watches ($ 240); a gold necklace ($698); a cross ($150); and a Compaq laptop computer.
McQueen said neighbors didn’t see anyone lifting the goods from the residence, and he wasn’t aware of any recent burglaries in the neighborhood.
