One person died and three others were injured after a two-vehicle wreck Monday afternoon.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop G spokesman Brian Mobley said 53-year-old Deborah Hamilton of Starkville died after the Dodge Intrepid she was driving collided with a Buick Rendezvous near the off-ramp of Highway 82 and Highway 45 Alternate.
Hamilton was traveling east on Highway 82 when she exited onto Highway 45 Alternate. Her vehicle was struck on the left side by the southbound vehicle driven by Natasha Powell, 33, of Fulton.
Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene by Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant.
Temeria Poe, 34, of Starkville, was in the vehicle with Hamilton. She was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Powell had a 3-year-old girl in her vehicle, and both were transported to BMH-GT.
The crash remains under investigation by the MHP.
The accident is nearly identical to a wreck that happened in the same location on Jan. 30.
Two people were injured in that wreck, and one was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
