A Starkville woman is charged with aiding the escape of an inmate.
WLOX-TV in Biloxi reports escaped inmate Johnny Hall was captured Wednesday afternoon in Bogalusa, La.
His accomplice in the escape, Mary Virginia “Jenna” Rhea, was also arrested.
According to her Facebook page, Jenna Rhea is from Columbus but lives in Starkville.
Hall escaped from two Wilkinson County Correctional Facility officers Friday while attending his father’s wake in Picayune. Just outside the funeral home, Hall jumped into a waiting car driven by a blonde woman.
Hall had been serving a 17-year sentence for three burglary convictions from Pearl River County.
Both Hall and Rhea are being held by Bogalusa Police and will be extradited to Mississippi.
She faces a charge of aiding an escape, and Hall faces an additional five-year sentence, if convicted of escape.
