Jabari Edwards is ready to move on and focus on his business endeavors and personal interests.
“It’s time for me, at this point of my life, as my business interests grow, it’s time for me to get focused on my business interests and personal endeavors,” he said.
Edwards, 38, of Columbus, submitted his resignation from the Columbus Light and Water Board on Dec. 1. It is effective Dec. 31, he said.
“I chaired my last board meeting (Thursday),” he said, noting he has been the chairman of the board for the past five years and has been a board member for almost eight years.
“I look at my life like a book, and every book must have chapters,” Edwards said.
Edwards is part owner of The Bridge Group, a full-service insurance firm that also participates in community outreach. He said while the light and water board only met once a month, it still took time out of his daily routine and kept him from what he wanted to spend time doing.
