West Point’s Growth Alliance has announced it will run buses to Mississippi State University home football games this fall.
“The Park It and Ride program is a non-traditional form of tourism the Growth Alliance wants to encourage,” said Martha Allen, Growth Alliance director. Game Day fans are encouraged to come to West Point and “enjoy all the things that make West Point and Clay County so special,” she added.
Buses will depart about three hours before kick-offs from the Mossy Oak Outlet parking lot on Highway 45 Alternate. Departure times will vary according to official kick-off times.
Fans will be dropped off right in front of Davis-Wade Stadium on the Starkville campus.
“Exactly one hour after the game — win or lose — the bus will head back to West Point,” Allen stated.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children 18 and under and must be purchased in advance.
“When reserving your seats to Park It and Ride for the entire season, ask about reduced rates for season customers and about family specials,” the director urged.
To ride to Saturday’s game, reserve seats in advance by contacting Allen at 662-295-3005 or email [email protected]. The bus will arrive at Mossy Oak Outlet by 1 p.m. Saturday and depart promptly at 2 p.m.
