CLAY COUNTY — A West Point man died Saturday after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in northern Clay County.
James Stark, 38, of 3004 Kelly Road, was driving his 2002 Suzuki Hayabusa west on Hazelwood Road in White Station when he collided with an eastbound pickup driven by Joe Montgomery. The motorcycle struck behind the driver”s side door “completely destroying the motorcycle,” according to a press release from the Clay County Sheriff”s Office.
Stark was transported to Clay County Medical Center and later airlifted to Northeast Medical Center in Tupelo where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The accident remains under in investigation in conjunction with the Clay County Coroner”s Office.
