Scott new Palmer Home director
Steven F. Scott has been named the new Palmer Home for Children director of Columbus campuses.
Scott served as admissions counselor at Belhaven University in Jackson for 10 years. For the last six years, he was employed with Mission to the World, based out of Lawrenceville, Ga., where he served in the Philippines and Mexico as a team leader. During that time he directed activities concerning the Church Planning Ministry and StreetKids Ministry. Scott commented, “I am thankful to God for my past experiences in dealing with children and can see how this is going to be a huge benefit in working with Palmer Home.”
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration degree from Belhaven University in Jackson.
Tubb is Health Link regional office manager
Wanda Tubb, office manager for the Family Medicine Clinic of Amory, is the recipient of the 2011 Health Link Regional Office Manager of the Year.
The award was presented at the 15th annual Health Link Managed Care Conference. The conference was attended by Health Link employers and providers from north Mississippi and northwest Alabama.
The Health Link Office Manager of the Year Award recognizes a unique professional that must understand the complexities of Health Link managed care and their third party administrator, Acclaim. Tubb was selected for the honor because of her professionalism, cooperation, ability to adapt to and accept change and sense of teamwork with the Health Link staff and her clinic”s physicians and patients.
Tubb has been the office manager at Family Medicine Clinic of Amory for 14 years. She works with a staff of four physicians and manages five nurses, two MTs, one X-ray technician, one phlebotomist and six clerical associates.
Tubb and her husband, Richard, have been married 34 years and have three children.
