Cadence Bank makes new appointments
Mark Abernathy, Cadence CEO and president recently announced that Jeff H. Whittington has been appointed as the bank”s enterprise risk manager and Teresa Hemphill has joined Cadence Bank as executive vice president and chief credit officer.
In Whittington”s new role, he will oversee the bank”s internal audit, compliance, loan reviews and appraisal management functions.
A native of Montgomery, Ala., Whittington is a graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery. He received his graduate degree in banking from the LSU School of Banking of the South.
Whittington and his wife, Dawn reside in New Hope and they have three children, Jordan, Caroline and Anna.
Hemphill, a native of Brandon, received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Houston at Clear Lake City. She received a graduate degree in banking from LSU School of Banking of the South.
Hemphill and her husband, Ryland reside in Starkville and they have two children, Kathryn and Harris.
Citizens National names new executives
Archie McDonnell Jr., president and CEO of Citizens National Bank has announced that Scott Sills has been named chief marketing officer and Mark Jordan has been promoted to North Region president.
Sills received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in banking and finance from the University of Mississippi. He completed his studies at the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and the Commercial Lending School at Vanderbilt. He is also a graduate of Madison/Ridgeland Academy.
Originally from Madison, Sills and his wife, Karen, have two children, Annabella and Benjamin.
Jordan has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in banking/finance and managerial finance from the University of Mississippi School of Banking. He completed coursework at The Graduate School of Banking at LSU and the Mississippi School of Banking.
Originally from Kosciusko, Jordan has two sons, Reed and Will, who both attend Mississippi State University.
