GADSDEN, Ala. – Authorities say a 19-year-old Alabama woman is expected to lose one of her eyes after she was attacked with a high-heel shoe.
The Gadsden Times reports that the woman was at a Gadsden club around 2 a.m. Friday when another woman used the heel of her shoe to strike her several times in the face.
Police said the woman had several serious facial injuries, and part of one of her eyelids appeared to be missing when officers responded to a hospital emergency room.
Gadsden police Capt. Regina May said the woman will lose that eye.
Authorities said the 20-year-old woman left the club before police officers were able to talk to her.
The injured woman, whose name was not released, is from Harvest.
