A 22-year-old man was arrested early today after he wrecked his car while trying to outrun a Columbus police officer.
An officer allegedly spotted Ricardo Mosley, of Columbus, driving his black 2006 Chevrolet Malibu on the wrong side of the road at Second Avenue North and Main Street at about 3:30 this morning.
When the officer tried to pull Mosley over, he tried to elude the officer, eventually wrecking his car in an embankment at the intersection of Fourth Street North and Fifth Avenue North, according to police. From there, he fled on foot but was quickly arrested.
Mosley, who had alcohol in the car, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without proof of insurance and violation of probation, police said.
