A 43-year-old Smithville woman died Sunday in Tupelo, a day after she was airlifted from a one-vehicle wreck in Monroe County.
Lori “Angie” Smith, a passenger, and two others were in the northbound gray 2003 Jeep Laredo when it ran off Mississippi Highway 23 and rolled several times at about 5:30 p.m. just north of Smithville, said Mississippi Highway Patrol Spokesman Brian Mobley.
None of the vehicle”s occupants were wearing their seatbelts, he said.
Smith was taken by helicopter to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, where she died Sunday at about 1:13 a.m. from multiple traumas, said Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley.
