The following sentences were handed down in the March term of the Lowndes County Circuit Court:
Judge Jim Kitchens
· Anderson Tate Jr., of 208 15th St. N., pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, third offense. He was sentenced to a year under house arrest, then four years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine.
· Ethan Loftin, of 1121 Third Ave. N. Apt. 5, pleaded guilty to grand larceny of $1,567. His 10-year sentence in the Mississippi Department of Corrections was suspended, leaving him with five years probation, a $500 fine and a total payment of $522.33 in restitution to the victim.
· Edwin D. Williams, of 1703 Seventh Ave. S., pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Ten years of his 15-year sentence were suspended, leaving him to serve five years, followed by five years of post-release supervision. He was also fined $500 and ordered to pay $900 in restitution.
· Seymour Ball, of 1215 19th St. N., pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to four years in MDOC with four years of post-release supervision, fined $500 and ordered to pay $250 in restitution to the Columbus-Lowndes Metro Narcotics Unit.
· Thaddeus Banks, of 1909 Fourth Ave. N., pleaded guilty to felony false pretense. His sentencing was postponed until May 9.
· Johnny Hunter, of 1010 13th St. S., pleaded guilty to grand larceny of $1,050. He was sentenced to five years in MDOC with five years of post-release supervision, fined $500 and ordered to pay $350 in restitution.
· Brandon Sims, of 61 Swedenburg Circle, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine 2 to 10 grams. His sentencing was postponed until May 9.
· Christopher Sanders, of 806 Fallwood Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to eight years in MDOC with five years of post-release supervision, fined $500 and ordered to pay $250 in restitution to the Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office. His sentence will run concurrent with a previous eight-year sentence in MDOC for possession of cocaine.
· Antonius Williams, of 803 Spruce St., pleaded guilty to taking a motor vehicle worth $1,500. His sentence was postponed until May 9.
· Jonathan Bullard, of 3816 Tabernacle Road, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. He was sentenced to five years probation, was fined $500 and was ordered to pay $200 in restitution.
· Ceforrest Hendricks, of 1627 Josie Allen Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Fifteen years of his 20-year sentence in MDOC were suspended, leaving him with five years to serve, followed by five years of post-release supervision. He was also fined $500.
· Jordan Ashley Butler, of 2210 Waverly Ferry Road, pleaded guilty to identity theft. Five years of Butler”s 10-year sentence in MDOC were suspended, after which Butler would have five years of post-release supervision. Butler was also fined $250 and ordered to pay $970.08 in restitution.
Judge Lee Coleman
· Shane Allen Bazzell, of 801 Remuda Drive, pleaded guilty to grand larceny of $200. His sentencing was postponed until May 13.
· Marlos Jones, of 1709 Third Ave. S., pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine .1 to 2 grams. He was sentenced to four years in MDOC with four years of post-release supervision and was fined $2,400.
· Khiry Bush, of 515 Scales St. in Starkville, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Bush was sentenced to a year of house arrest, then five years probation, and was fined $500.
· Alphonso Hughes, of 312 Bishop Circle, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility. He was sentenced to three years more in MDOC, fined $500 and was declared ineligible for parole or early release.
· Roxanne S. Richardson, of 2400 Main St., pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine .1 to 2 grams. She was sentenced to eight years in MDOC, then five years probation, and was fined $500.
· Kydra M. Temple, of 169 Applewood Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine .1 to 2 grams. Her eight year sentence in MDOC was suspended, leaving her with five years probation and a $1,500 fine.
· Shermaine Eckford, of 2210 Fifth Ave. N., pleaded guilty to statutory rape. His sentence was postponed until May 20.
· Dewayne Damorris Cork, of 323 Santa Anita Dr. in Starkville, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine 1.5 grams as a habitual offender. His sentence was postponed until May 13.
· Kelvin M. Coleman, of 139 Penn Station Road in Crawford, pleaded guilty to possession of Benzylpiperazine. He was sentenced to three years probation, fined $2,000 and was given permission to seek approval from MDOC to work in Louisiana.
