A 17-year-old Columbus High School student”s car was sideswiped as she crossed an intersection today, sending her car crashing into a Columbus school bus carrying two students.
No one was injured in the 8 a.m. three-vehicle wreck at College Street and Eighth Street South, although an estimated $600 damage was done to the school bus.
Ann Wozniak, 69, of Columbus, was westbound on her way to work at Kroger when a northbound Vawndaasha Willis, 17, pulled into the intersection in front of her cream-colored Chrysler.
According to Wozniak, Willis ran the stop sign, although Willis denied the charge.
The wreck sent Willis” blue Buick careening into the front bumper of the school bus, which was southbound on the one-way leg of Eighth Street South at the stop sign.
The students were transferred to another school bus, which resumed the route.
