Local law enforcement agencies reported the following felony arrests:
Columbus Police Department
· William Derrick Rush, 26, of 500 Green Tree Drive, Apt. I38, was arrested Feb. 3 at 18th Avenue North and Seventh Street North. He was charged with possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of marijuana, violation of a city ordinance and contempt of court.
· Bertha Fonseca Ezquivel, 42, of 930 Old Mayhew Road in Artesia, was arrested Saturday at 1515 College St. She was charged with grand larceny of more than $500.
· Shealio Ann Swanigan, 45, of 2201 Third Ave. N., turned herself in to police Tuesday. She was charged with grand larceny of more than $500.
Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office
· Tommie C. Harris Jr., 30, of 201 Constance Lane, was arrested at his residence Feb. 3. He was charged with two counts each of statutory rape, fondling and exploitation of children after missing his circuit court date.
· Stefanie Kaye Ashton, 26, of the Cypress Park Apartments, Apt. 92, at 300 S. Lehmberg Road, was arrested Feb. 3 at her residence. She was charged with embezzlement.
· Shawn Michael Walker, 28, of 368 Hairston Bend Road, was arrested Feb. 3 at 169 Applewood Drive. He was charged with possession of cocaine and driving without insurance, a license tag and a suspended driver”s license.
· Opal Hackman, 48, of 528 Wolfe Road in Sulligent, Ala., was transferred to the sheriff”s office from Tuscaloosa, Ala., Tuesday. Hackman faces a charge of acting under a false pretense.
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics
· Jason Damon Burnett, 25, of 400060 Fields Drive in Hamilton, was arrested Feb. 2 at 900 N. Hillcrest Drive in Aberdeen. He was charged with possessing a forged, false or fraudulent prescription.
Mississippi Highway Patrol
· Tyrone Davis Kidd, 39, of 161 Winfrey Drive in Caledonia, was arrested Sunday on westbound Highway 82. He was charged with driving under the influence, third offense, driving with a suspended driver”s license and failure to have proof of liability insurance.
