A couple of notes after you enjoy that video of Mark McLaurin:
- I saw Reggie Todd working with the injured Stephen Guidry while the rest of the team was in special teams drills and he had some wrap over his right knee. He ended up running a route or two in the final drills media was allowed to see, so I don't know for certain if he's hurt or if he simply isn't a candidate for special teams work.
- I got an eye on Alec Murphy, the former running back making the switch to linebacker. It seems clear his athleticism would transition well to that position -- I saw him work a strip sack drill today that was pretty impressive -- but he predictably has some work to do on the technique stuff. I saw him struggle in a point-of-contact drill on Saturday, for instance. He's like any other FBS college football player taking on another position: his athleticism is surely good enough to make the transition work, it will come down to how he develops as a technician.
