The Columbus-Lowndes Public Library invites all county businesses, organizations, clubs, industries, schools and individuals to participate in the second annual Festival of Trees event.
“This is an opportunity to promote your organization and showcase your creativity by decorating one of more than 25 artificial trees on display,” said library archivist Mona Vance. The festive display will be seen by hundreds of library visitors during the month of December, Vance added.
Trees will be decorated between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.
“There are a limited number, so be sure to get your reservation in early,” Vance urged.
Grand opening of the Festival of Trees will be Monday, Nov. 29, from 5-7 p.m.
Registration for trees may be picked up at the library at 314 Seventh St. N., or contact Brenda Durrett at 662-329-5300 to receive a registration by e-mail. Registration forms must be returned by Nov. 17. The event is part of the library”s Winter Wonderland celebration of the holiday season.
