The Caledonia Public Library will host a book talk and signing on Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the library. Bill Darnell, lifelong resident of Caledonia, is the author of “One Light City.” This book tells the story of a young man growing up in a small Mississippi town in the 1970s.
“Mr. Darnell is an active member of the Caledonia community and has served his community well over the years,” said Christy Burks, Caledonia Branch manager. “We are really looking forward to having him come and share his story.”
The public is invited to the Caledonia Library at 754 Main St. in Caledonia Aug. 29 to find out more about “One Light City” and the traffic light that gave Darnell his inspiration.
The Caledonia Public Library is a part of The Columbus-Lowndes Public Library System. This book talk and signing are sponsored by the Friends of the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library. For more information about this event, contact Christy Burks at 662-356-6384.
