Loaves & Fishes Festival of Flavors — Loaves & Fishes Community Soup Kitchen presents its fifth annual gala from 6-9 p.m. at Lion Hills Center, with silent auction, live music, food and beverages. Island Paddle Fest — Lowndes County Imagination Library hosts this 5.5-mile kayak, canoe and paddle board race at the Columbus Riverwalk. Sizzling Second Saturday — Columbus’ Hitching Lot Farmers’ Market from 7-10 a.m. features “Farmer for a Day” kids’ fun. Decorate planters to take home, learn about gardening from Master Gardeners and dress like a farmer. MUW’s Project CHEW food truck and Columbus Police Department are on hand, too, at Second Avenue and Second Street North.
