Megan Elizabeth Dinsmore, a Noxubee County native and the daughter of Terry and James Sidney Dinsmore of Macon, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi.
A 2010 graduate of Central Academy, Dinsmore earned an associate degree from East Mississippi Community College and a Bachelor of Science in pharmaceutical sciences from Ole Miss prior to entering pharmacy school.
Dinsmore credits her Central Academy Latin teacher, Martha Mullins Blackwell, for providing the background that enabled her to CLEP (College Level Equivalency Program) six hours of college credit in Latin. She also credits her mother Terry Dinsmore, a pharmacy tech, and Adrian Outlaw, a pharmacist at Fred’s Pharmacy in Macon, with encouraging and mentoring her through the doctoral program.
Dinsmore will continue to reside in Oxford as she begins her new job as a pharmacist with CVS.
