Mississippi University for Women’s music department will present a recital of “Songs of the Theater” Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Connie Sills Kossen Auditorium in Poindexter Hall on campus.
“Songs of the Theater” features performances by W music students with musical preparation by guest artist William Reber.
Students will perform selections from musicals and opera, songs and duets by composers such as Mozart, Bizet, Bernstein, Richard Rodgers and more. Reber, who is the collaborative pianist for this evening of vocal music, is professor emeritus of the Arizona State University School of Music.
This free event, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the Leslie F. Threadgill Lecture and Artist Series.
