A winter wonderland “forest” awaits visitors to the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library during December. An open house showcasing 27 trees decorated by local businesses and area organizations for the holidays is set for 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at the library located at 314 Seventh St. N.
Live music, refreshments and crafts activities await, as well as a visit from Santa and Miz Claus. A collection of White House ornaments will also be on display.
The community is invited to vote for a favorite tree from Dec. 2 through noon Dec. 7.
“This year, those who can’t come by the library and vote for their favorite tree will be able to vote online on our Facebook page,” said event co-coordinator Brenda Durrett. “And we have a great group of entertainers again this year. Please join us for a night of fun.”
For more information about the Festival of Trees, contact the library at 662-329-5300, or email Durrett at [email protected], or Mona Vance-Ali at [email protected].
