Columbus native Taylor Henry recently earned a Juris Doctorate from the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia in the nation’s capital. Henry, 59, graduated cum laude during commencement exercises May 19 at the ABA-accredited law school’s northwest D.C. campus following four years of study as a part-time evening student.
The veteran CNN overseas correspondent and duPont Award winning television journalist currently serves as director of Public Affairs and Media Relations for the Washington-based Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, which endorses priests to serve as U.S. military chaplains and provides pastoral care for the more than 300,000 Catholics and their families serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide. Among his other duties. Henry produces videos, hosts podcasts and writes news articles for the global archdiocese.
In addition to his Juris Doctorate, Henry holds a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and English from Spring Hill College.
He is the son of Margaret B. Henry and the late John R. Henry Sr. of Columbus. He is the father of Mary Taylor Henry, Taylor Hill Henry, Natalie Hope Henry and the late Emily Irene Henry Mackin, all formerly of Columbus.
