Peanut butter drive — Join Operation Ukraine in collecting 10,000 jars of peanut butter to be shipped to Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. More than 100,000 children have been left in need of food. Drop-off point is Trustmark Bank, 624 Main St., Columbus.

56th Country Store Bake Sale — This annual event to benefit the Stephen D. Lee Foundation is 10 a.m.-noon at the historic S.D. Lee Home, 316 Seventh St. N. Homemade cakes, pies, candies, breads, cheese straws and more just in time for holiday tables, presented by the Association for the Preservation of Antiquities in Columbus and Lowndes County.
