Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi State University alumna Dr. Selena Nawrocki has won a Special Merit Award for her artwork in the Sixth Annual CityScapes Art Competition, Light Space and Time Online Gallery. Her work is currently also accepted into the 12th National Juried Exhibition at Ceres Gallery in New York City; Virginia Mennonite’s 12th Annual Juried Art Exhibition at Park Gables Main Street Gallery in Harrisonburg, Virginia; and the Art 2016 Biennial Juried Art Competition at the Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida.
Dr. Selena Nawrocki is a professor of interior design/art at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. Her spiral staircase imagery in interior room environments is the major theme of her art compositions.
Her father, Columbus artist Thomas Nawrocki, currently has his work accepted into the 37th Paper in Particular, a National Works on Paper Competition at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri; Four Rivers Print Biennial, National Print Competition at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; the 31st Annual Tallahassee International Juried Art Competition at Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts; and the 77th American Color Print Society Exhibition at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts in Millville, New Jersey.
