National Day of Prayer — A community-wide observance of the National Day of Prayer begins at noon in front of the Lowndes County Courthouse, 505 Second Ave. N., presented by the Christian Community in Prayer Committee.

Choral concert — Mississippi University for Women hosts a concert featuring guest composer Joan Szymko, funded by the MUW Foundation’s Leslie Threadgill Lecture and Artist Series. Market Street Festival — More than 220 art, crafts and food vendors, three entertainment stages and 60+ activities highlight the 21st annual Market Street Festival in downtown Columbus.
