Junior Auxiliary of Columbus will open the sale of tickets for the 66th annual Charity Ball on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Junior Auxiliary Hut at 1000 Park Circle. The ball will be held April 2 at Trotter Convention Center. The theme for the 2016 ball is “Columbus Celebrates Mississippi.” Miss Mississippi 2015 Hannah Roberts will perform.
The event that helps fund the Columbus chapter’s service projects will also feature the crowning of this year’s king and queen, presentation of the court, live music by the band Fly By Radio of Birmingham, Alabama, and a Royal Breakfast.
“We are very excited to celebrate the dedication and service that the Columbus Junior Auxiliary provides to the children of Lowndes County,” said Charity Ball chair Jessica Moore.
Tickets are $40 per person for table seating. Balcony tickets are $20 per person. Tickets for the breakfast, served from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., are $20.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Presentation of the court begins at 8 p.m. After Feb. 18, tickets may be purchased at Military Hardware located at 1002 13th St. N. in Columbus.
