Michael Feldman brings his popular public radio show to Rent Auditorium in Columbus for a live broadcast Saturday, Dec. 12. This will be Feldman”s first trip to enjoy the Southern hospitality of the Golden Triangle region.
During each show, the Wisconsin native employs his off-the-cuff style to interview local guests, chats live with studio audience members, then chooses two lucky participants to play the Whad”Ya Know? Quiz. Banter with program announcer Jim Packard and a jazz trio round out the on-air cast.
The show, created in 1985, usually broadcasts from Madison, Wis., but periodically takes to the road. The two-hour program airs on Saturday mornings, and repeats throughout the week by syndication. Beginning this year, it has also been available via the Internet as a podcast.
The entertaining Whad”Ya Know? Quiz engages players in answering questions from categories including Public Events, Odds and Ends and Things You Should Have Learned in School (Had You Been Paying Attention).
Each week Michael Feldman”s Whad”Ya Know? airs on more than 260 PRI-Public Radio International stations, reaching more than one million listeners across the United States. The show is produced by Wisconsin Public Radio.
General admission tickets are $25; VIP tickets are $40. Both are available by contacting the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau at 662-329-1191, or purchase tickets online at http://www.columbus-ms.info/.
