Chamber Orchestra Kremlin — The Mississippi State Lyceum Series presents one of Russia’s leading ensembles at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium on the MSU campus. Oktoberfest — Bring the family to Shattuck Lawn on the Mississippi University for Women campus from 5-8 p.m. for games and activities including bumper cars, costume contests for children 10 and under at 6 p.m., music by the Masker Washboard Band and more. Activity tickets are 25 cents each. Oktoberfest is sponsored by the MUW Student Programming Board and is open to the community.
Chilifest, Cowboy Mouth — Junior Auxiliary of Starkville presents this chili cook-off featuring music by Cowboy Mouth at the Mississippi Amphitheater from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Enjoy tastings, a fun run, inflatables and more. Tickets are $7, available from JA members or at the event.
