Scholarship recipients at Itawamba Community College for 2014 include Gabrielle Cannon of Caledonia, ACT Achievement Incentive; Lydia Cross of Caledonia, ACT Regular Incentive, Leadership; Currie Eaves of Steens, ACT Achievement Incentive, Leadership; Chelsea Goley of Caledonia, ACT Achievement Incentive, Leadership; and Jordan Wade of Caledonia, ACT Achievement Incentive, Leadership.
Cannon will be a 2014 graduate of Caledonia High School where she has participated in soccer, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Spanish Club and Art Club. She is the daughter of Craig and Rachel Cannon.
At Caledonia High School where she will be a 2014 graduate, Cross has been a member of the soccer team, Beta Club, Anchor Club, Spanish Club, Environmental Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and AP Ambassador. Her honors include NHS vice president, soccer team co-captain and sweetheart for the Spanish Club. She attends New Salem Baptist Church. Her parents are James and Kelly Cross.
Eaves will be a 2014 graduate of New Hope High School where she has participated in softball (two years), volleyball, Student Council and Beta Club. Her honors include A and A/B honor roll for four years. She is the daughter of Teddy and Pam Eaves.
At Caledonia High School where she will be a 2014 graduate, Goley has been a member of the fast-pitch softball team. Her honors include highest average in Pre-AP, Pre-Calculus and A and P; superintendent’s list; AP Ambassador; SGA vice president; and advanced on algebra, English and U.S. history. She is the daughter of Susan and Jeff Goley.
Wade will be a 2014 graduate of Caledonia High School, where her activities have included varsity cheerleading, varsity soccer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Beta Club, Spanish Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Student Government Association, Anchor Club, Environmental Club, AP Ambassador and National Honor Society. Among her honors are outstanding freshman, sophomore and junior; superintendent’s list; highest average in art II and family dynamics; Best Personality; class favorite (two years); sweetheart for both FCA and Anchor Club; UCA All-American Cheerleader; Best Technique and Most Spirit for cheerleading. Wade is also a member of the New Salem Baptist Church youth group. She is the daughter of Scott and Jeaniece Wade.
