The Columbus Riverwalk will soon resonate with the Sounds of Summer, the popular music series presented by Main Street Columbus.
Beginning June 4, and each Thursday through July 30 (except July 2) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., area artists will perform from a newly-constructed stage at the South end of the scenic walk in historic downtown Columbus.
The series is free and open to the public, and food and beverages will be available for purchase, said Amber Murphree, director of Main Street Columbus.
The summer schedule kicks off with blues and R&B duo Keith and Margie Brown performing June 4. Other entertainers include Stone Lizard (June 11); Memory Lane (June 18); The Allan Stephens Band (June 25); Jeff and Drew (July 9); Caleb Childs (July 16); Gemini (July 23); and The Saint, The Priest and Friends (July 30).
Sounds of Summer is also sponsored by the Columbus Lowndes Development Link, with the support of the city of Columbus and other community sponsors.
