If you”ve always wanted to learn how to create bead jewelry, the Starkville Area Arts Council offers a workshop Saturday, May 14, part of a series being taught by the North Mississippi Gem and Mineral Society of Tupelo. Reservations are requested by May 11.
The introductory class will cover making a bracelet and pair of earrings, using a variety of beads and components. Participants will also learn how to use beading wire, crimp beads, toggle clasps, head pins and more. All tools and materials will be provided.
The workshop at the Visual Arts Center I at 808 University Drive in Starkville will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fee is $30. There will be a 30-minute lunch break.
